The feeling of spaciousness was enhanced because no height design interrupts the visual depth. Both the furniture that defines the living and dining area and the glass partition of the kitchen allow you to see what happens at any point in the common space.

Recovering this type of original partitions from old houses is not easy, as the passage of time and humidity make them break to the touch. An alternative is new build with either brick or decorative plate. They fit with any style. It all depends on the finish they are given. The house was in very bad condition and the project was complex. What they were clear they wanted to create an open space with different environments. Contrary to interventions that hide the beauty of the original materials or the uniqueness of traditional architectural solutions, the distribution was not affected, although they were installed glass partitions that offer total visual communication and let natural light to flow through the spaces of the house.

The glass enclosures, designed by Roura, with perfilería iron black, were key interior design project. "He only have a small balcony, we invent a vegetable gallery and a large window visible from the entire floor, ”Joan tells us, who loves turning to plants to give life to spaces. The ceilings, the exposed brick walls and the window carpentry were restored; the facilities were conditioned, the pine flooring was replaced with polished concrete and smooth fronts painted in white, except in the study corner where we chose to paint black slate.

The decoration, with very well chosen pieces - some of them, icons of the design -, put the most appropriate finishing touch.
